Miles Andrew Sutton 
Pianist, Oboist, and Music Director

With over a decade of pedagogical experience, Miles Sutton brings unique performing experience and knowledge from the important schools of piano instruction. Sutton has taught students of all ages and promotes body awareness, education through composer study, technical awareness, and individual artistry in his students. He has taught through organizations such as the Washington State University School of Music, the Orchestra Iowa School, Stetson University Community School of Music, and Lochwood Academy for the Performing Arts. Miles has had experience teaching both group piano classes, private lessons, masterclasses, and judging studio competitions. Throughout his years of teaching, he has organized student recitals at local venues for his students as well as promoted learning though studio exclusive master classes with respected pedagogues and performers. Many of Sutton’s students have gone on to pursue careers in music both at university and beyond.

 

Studio expectations:

Students in the Miles Andrew Sutton Piano Studio receive weekly lessons. Instruction is tailored to the needs of the individual students creating a unique learning environment for all of his students. Students have the opportunity to participate in a Fall and Spring recital as well as monthly studio classes where students at all levels are encouraged to perform for one another and learn to give feedback in a constructive way to their studio mates.

 

Fees:

$70/hour or €60/hour

$40/half-hour or €30/half-hour

An Additional $20/€20 session fee is added for traveling lesson should in-home lessons be deemed acceptable.
